Renaming Hitman 3 as “World of Assassination” – Combining the entire trilogy into one download
It’s HITMAN’s time to clean up after the new year and new content for the gaming world.
The name of IO Interactive’s newest sandbox stealth game, Hitman 3, has been changed to “Hitman World of Assassination.” However, the alteration is more than merely cosmetic; in the near future, Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 will also be bundled together to create a single game. Since all game material is integrated into DLCs and locales, the update, which is set to take effect on January 26, aims to simplify distribution and prevent confusion for new players on which edition to purchase. On all major platforms, those who already possess Hitman 3 will receive a free upgrade to this new title.
Soon, Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 will no longer be available to purchase; instead, Hitman World of Assassination will be the only option. According to the blog post, “basically, these two modifications will mean that all new players and current HITMAN 3 owners will have the same base content ownership.” A regular edition, which includes the aforementioned trilogy, and a Deluxe Pack will make up the bulk of the new bundle. The Deluxe Pack, Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass are three premium extensions that are included with the latter, which costs about $30 and costs around $70/Rs. 3,299.
We want to make it absolutely clear that one of these changes is the removal of the standalone HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 items from sale across all platforms. The same methods you currently use to access these games if you already possess them will still work. Of course, HITMAN World of Assassination, which incorporates all of the upgrades made with HITMAN 3, allows players to continue playing the majority of the material found in earlier games.” adds the post.
Hitman 3 was finally released on Steam in January of last year after spending a year only available on the Epic Games Store. The game received generally positive reviews. PC fans, who were already irritated by the delayed debut, became even more incensed when they saw that the game was still being sold at the full $60/Rs. 1,888 price tag. Keep in mind that the price only covered the base edition; further fees were required to access the supplementary materials. As part of its yearly Winter Sale, Steam is presently selling the Hitman trilogy for Rs. 1,154. At 11:30 IST tonight, January 5, the promotion will finish.
On January 26, Hitman World of Assassination will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
