In a fiery address that resonated with passion and purpose, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the stage in Madhya Pradesh, delivering a scathing critique of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his recent derogatory comments. Kumar, in an astonishing display of insensitivity, had linked educated women to his state’s fertility rate, drawing widespread condemnation. At the heart of PM Modi’s address was not just a condemnation of Kumar’s remarks but a broader challenge to the leaders of the Opposition INDIA bloc, who remained conspicuously silent in the face of such blatant misogyny.

Addressing a gathered crowd in Guna, PM Modi expressed his dismay, underscoring the vulgarity of Kumar’s language, particularly considering the presence of mothers and sisters in the assembly. “Those who watch TV would have noticed an event. A very senior leader of the INDI Alliance, who is carrying the flag of the coalition and is playing various games to dethrone the current Central government, said such vulgar things in a language which nobody can imagine, in the Assembly where mothers and sisters were present,” the Prime Minister remarked, his tone reflecting a mix of disbelief and indignation.

Kumar’s statements, made during a discussion on birth control in the Bihar Assembly, led to widespread outrage, prompting the BJP to denounce them as misogynistic, vulgar, sexist, and patriarchal. A wave of criticism compelled Kumar to issue an apology, but PM Modi questioned the absence of any condemnation from the leaders of the INDI Alliance. “Not one leader of the INDI Alliance is ready to speak a word against such an insult to mothers and sisters,” PM Modi asserted, raising vital questions about the Opposition’s commitment to respecting women and safeguarding their dignity.

The Prime Minister’s speech didn’t stop at addressing the distasteful comments of a single leader. He seized the moment to critique the Congress party, accusing it of misleading servicemen for decades with the One Rank One Pension (OROP) Scheme. PM Modi juxtaposed this against the BJP’s unwavering commitment to implementing OROP, providing substantial financial support to ex-servicemen. His words carried the weight of truth, resonating with the audience who understood the stark contrast between promises and actions.

Moving beyond defense issues, PM Modi questioned the Congress party’s stance on national security. He accused the Congress of keeping soldiers dependent on foreign weapons and failing to provide them with adequate facilities. His words, spoken with conviction, highlighted the resilience and strength of India’s armed forces under the BJP government. “Terrorists used to behead our soldiers, and the Congress government would sit idle and just give statements. Congress leaders used to ask for help from other nations after terror attacks in the country,” PM Modi declared, emphasizing the change in approach under the current administration.

The Prime Minister also criticized the Congress’s response to the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, a scheme providing free rations to the poor. He accused the Congress of conspiring to snatch this essential lifeline from the needy, reflecting the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of India’s most vulnerable citizens.

In this charged atmosphere, PM Modi’s words resonated deeply, not just with the audience present in Guna but with people across the nation. His speech was more than a condemnation of a single leader’s offensive remarks; it was a call to action, challenging the very essence of political integrity and responsibility. As India heads into crucial elections, the Prime Minister’s words serve as a reminder of the values that must guide the nation – respect for women, commitment to national security, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of every citizen.
