Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public gathering during the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana’s Medak district. Speaking fervently, he made it clear that he stands against any form of reservations based on religion, especially if it comes at the expense of existing quotas for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

“It’s about justice,” Modi declared, emphasizing that he won’t allow reservations intended for Dalits, SCs, STs, and OBCs to be redirected to Muslims under the guise of religion. He firmly stated, “Till the time I am alive, I will not let them give the reservation meant for Dalits, SCs, STs, and OBCs to the Muslims in the name of religion.”

The Prime Minister didn’t stop there. He also took aim at the Congress party, accusing them of undermining the Constitution for political gain. “They are the people who stop the functioning of the Parliament, they question the Election Commission, they question the EVM, and now for their vote bank, they are insulting the constitution,” he remarked.

Modi projected confidence, looking ahead to his third term and envisioning a grand celebration of the Constitution’s 75th anniversary. Amidst his assertions, he didn’t shy away from targeting local politicians either. He indirectly criticized Telangana’s Chief Minister, alleging that funds collected through “double R (RR) tax” in the state are being diverted to Delhi. This claim came with a cinematic twist, referencing the Telugu blockbuster ‘RRR’.

“While the Telugu film industry delights with blockbusters like ‘RRR,’ the Telangana Congress administers its own version of ‘RR’ tax burdens on the people,” Modi quipped, insinuating that industrialists are compelled to pay clandestine percentages as RR Tax, with some of it allegedly finding its way to Delhi as black money.

In his fervor, Modi also warned about potential future taxes, claiming that if Congress were to come to power, they would implement an inheritance tax, aiming to collect over half of inherited wealth.

Modi’s speech was packed with strong statements, resonating with his supporters and leaving political rivals with much to ponder.
