Queen Camilla has revealed her fondness for binge-watching Netflix shows with royal themes, including the popular series Bridgerton. The Queen Consort shared that she is particularly obsessed with Regency-era shows like Bridgerton, which has captured the imagination of many viewers worldwide.

During her visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, which this year is inspired by Bridgerton, Queen Camilla confessed to watching the first season of the show multiple times. The event, influenced by the vibrant and opulent themes of Bridgerton, showcased designs inspired by Penelope Featherington’s character.

The Queen is not the only royal fan of the show. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, also expressed her admiration for Bridgerton. She told US Weekly that she enjoyed the series so much that she watched it twice. Ferguson praised the character Daphne and her journey, emphasizing the importance of women using their voices. She also lauded the show’s costumes and set design, crediting producer Betsy Beers and creator Shonda Rhimes for their brilliant work.

Ferguson mentioned her desire to collaborate with Shondaland to adapt her book, “Her Heart for a Compass,” into a TV series. This enthusiasm for Bridgerton within the royal family highlights the show’s broad appeal and its ability to resonate with viewers from all walks of life.

At the Chelsea Flower Show, designer Holly Johnston explained that her garden design was inspired by Penelope Featherington’s character arc in the third season of Bridgerton. Johnston described Penelope as a “wallflower” who steps into the spotlight this season, and her garden design reflects this transformation. The garden is meant to be a personal and intimate space for Penelope, symbolizing her journey and growth.

The cast members of Bridgerton, including Hannah Dodd and Ruth Gemmel, visited the Chelsea Flower Show garden on May 20, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

Fans of Bridgerton can look forward to the second part of season 3, which will be released on June 13 on Netflix. With its rich storytelling and captivating characters, Bridgerton continues to charm audiences, including members of the royal family.
