Jack Gaud. You must have seen him as a villain in Bollywood films in the last years of the 80s and the entire 90s. Jack Gaud, who had a tall and broad stature, came to films to become a hero. But except for one film, he did not get the role of a hero in any film. And he remained only a side villain.
Early life of Jack Gaud
Jack God was born in 1958 in Shimla village of Khetri Nagar town of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Jack was very fond of watching movies since childhood. He also wanted to become a hero when he grew up. But there was an atmosphere of education in his house and many people from his family were in the Indian Army.
So, he started studying by suppressing his childhood dream and finally in the year 1977, he got a chance to serve in the Indian Navy. He joined the Indian Navy, but his childhood dream was still buried somewhere in his heart.
Jack Gaud’s First Film
In the early eighties, to fulfill his dream, he resigned from his job in the Indian Navy and came to Mumbai to become a hero in films. Jack God was a tall man. So, any filmmaker who saw him was definitely impressed by him. On the basis of his personality, he got the opportunity to work in a film for the first time in the year 1984.
This film was Insaaf Kaun Karega. Dharmendra and Rajnikanth were in the lead roles in this film. Strong actors like Pran and Amrish Puri were also in this film. Jack God played the role of Jagira i.e. a goon of Pran’s gang in this film. Jack God became famous among the cine lovers with his very first film.
Jack Gaud also appeared in ghost films
The second film of Jack God’s career was 3D Samari released in the year 1985. This film of Ramsay Brothers was made keeping Anirudh Agarwal in the center. But Jack God also succeeded in getting the applause of the audience in the role of Bhishen’s calm and loyal commander.
There was a lot of discussion about Jack God’s looks in this film. Even the Ramsay Brothers had not thought that a new actor would do such a brilliant acting. But Jack God surprised everyone with his acting.
Jack God limited himself to playing small goons
His next big film was Watan Ke Rakhwale released in 1987. In the presence of big stars like Dharmendra, Mithun and Sunil Dutt, no one noticed Jack God. How could anyone notice him. Jack God’s character was just that of a minor goon, who was seen only two or four times in the entire film.
People who knew Jack God say that this is where Jack God’s dream of becoming a hero started to shatter. After this, he only got roles of side villains and small-time goons in films. But there was one film that fulfilled Jack God’s dream of becoming a hero.
Big movies in Jack God’s career
Jack God appeared in the biggest superhit film of that year, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati. But in this film too Jack God was given the role of a goon. In the same year another film was released named Malamaal. Naseeruddin Shah was in the lead role in this film.
There was a scene of a cricket match in this film in which Jack God played the role of a fast bowler. Naseeruddin Shah, who was batting, hit Jack God’s balls a lot. But there comes a time when Jack God throws such bouncers at Naseeruddin that he has no answer to Jack’s bouncers.
Jack God was the hero in this film
By the year 1992, Jack God had worked in about 22 films and his dream of becoming a hero was almost shattered. Jack God had also stopped trying for the role of a hero.
But in the same year i.e. 1992, director Sunil Kumar needed a hero for his film Jungle Ka Beta, who was tall and had a physique like Tarzan.
Coincidentally, Sunil Kumar saw all the qualities of the hero of his film in Jack God and thus Jack God appeared as a hero in the first and last film of his career.
I was not destined to be a hero
Jungle Ka Beta was released on 1 January 1992. Although this film was released with much fanfare, but due to the weak story and poor direction, the audience did not like this film much. The film flopped badly at the box office. And thus Jack God’s dream of becoming a hero was shattered.
However, Jack God’s love for acting did not end. He continued working in films. Very few people would know that Sunil Kumar had announced to work with Jack God as a hero in another film. The name of this film was Kali. However, after the failure of Jungle Ka Beta, there was no mention of this film.

Jack God continued to work in films as a side villain and villain’s henchman. In his film career, he worked in big films like Tezaab, Toofaan, Shehzade, Krodh, Band Darwaza, Dharam Sankat, Tahelka, Pratikaar, Apradhikar, Phool Aur Angaar, Yugandhar, Suhaag, Hum Dono, Veergati, Saajan Chale Sasural, Koyla, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, Chandaal, Lal Badshah, Cartridge, Ganga Ki Kasam, Judwaa, Vaastav, Sultan, and Justice Chaudhary.
In his career, he worked in about 80 films. But in all of them, he was seen in the roles of a goon and a criminal. His most memorable roles include Shamsher Singh in Karan Arjun and Fracture Bandya in Vaastav. Jack God will always be remembered for these roles.
Earned good money
In his career, Jack God worked with every big star of his time. Jack continued to work in the acting world without a break. From his first film in 1984 to his last film in 2000, Jack used to appear in at least one or two films every year.
With the money he earned from films, Jack God built his own house in Mumbai. And he used to live in the same house with his family. It is said that around the year 2000, he had acquired property worth crores of rupees in Mumbai city.
And Jack left this world
It was 8 June 2000. It was afternoon. Jack God was sitting in his house. He suddenly had a severe heart attack and died. At the time of his death, he was only 41 years old. The entire Bollywood world was shocked by Jack God’s sudden departure from the world. Cinema lovers across the country were shocked. And everyone was sad.
Such was his personal life
Talking about Jack Gaud’s personal life, he has two sons in his family apart from his wife. His elder son Amit Jack Gaud is also an actor like him. Jack Gaud may have left this world at a very young age. But his films have made him immortal in the hearts of the cine lovers of this country forever.
