Last Monday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recalled over 979,000 Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-Super Duty, and SuperCab cars for a head restraint instruction problem.
Chrysler will also be recalling over 80,000 2014-2019 Ram 1500 along with 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee cars due to a potential crankshaft breakdown issue, as well as over 12,500 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles due to potential engine failure concerns.

The NHTSA has issued the following car recalls from June 6 to June 15:
Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, and F-Super Duty recall due to faulty head restraint instructions
According to an NHSTA report, Ford is recalling 979,797 vehicles, including certain 2018-2023 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models with third-row seating, as well as 2019-2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 SuperCab vehicles and three-passenger front bench seat regular cab models, for failing to include instructions on how to adjust or remove certain head restraints in the owner’s manual.
Without the guidelines, the cars fail to meet the criteria of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 202, “Head Restraints.”
Ford intends to issue owner’s manual addendums that explain how to remove and adjust the vehicle’s head restraints for the center seating positions. The notice letters are planned to be mailed on July 10th at no cost. Customers can reach Ford customer support at 1-866-436-7332. The recall number assigned by Ford is 23C20.

Jeep Grand Cherokee engine shut down recall
In addition, Chrysler is recalling 12,458 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokees equipped with 2.0L PHEV engines due to a potential engine shut down issue caused by a lack of communication between the vehicle’s gearbox control module and the hybrid control processor.
Dealers will also upgrade the control software for free, and owners will get notice letters on July 28. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer support at 1-800-853-1403, and the recall number is 65A.

Chrysler is recalling Ram and Jeep Grand Cherokee cars due to the possibility of crankshaft position failure
According to an NHSTA safety report, Chrysler is also recalling 80,629 2014-2019 Ram 1500 and 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee cars equipped with 3.0L diesel engines, claiming a problem in which the crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate, resulting in an engine stall.
Chrysler is providing free software updates to its dealers in order to assist maintain vehicle propulsion. Owners will get letters informing them of the recall on July 28, and they can contact FCA US, LLC customer care at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number for this vehicle is 66A, and it is an extension of recall 20V-475.

Ford recalls F-150 BEV vehicles due to lightbar issue
According to an NHSTA safety report, Ford is recalling 16,375 select 2022-2023 F-150 BEV cars for a rear lightbar problem in which the lightbar might have microcracks in its outer lens, enabling moisture to gather and resulting in out-of-order or flickering reverse lights.

Hyundai recalls Palisade vehicles due to brake assist issue
According to an NHSTA report, Hyundai is recalling 322 2023 Palisade cars due to a potential issue wherein the brake booster diaphragm could get misaligned and produce an internal vacuum leak in the vehicle, possibly leading to a loss of power braking aid.

Nissan recalls Sentra vehicles due to improperly sealed driver side cowl area
Nissan is recalling 230 Sentra 2022 cars due to a possible missing or incorrect seal in the driver’s side cowl region. Water may seep inside the car and erode electrical components, resulting in the failure of electrical systems such as wiper motor performance, exterior lights, air bags, or changing into gear without using the stop pedal.
According to an NHSTA analysis, the failure of these systems might raise the chance of an accident and an electrical short-circuit, thus raising the risk of a fire.
If required, Nissan dealers will check and reseal the driver’s side cowl. If moisture or rust is discovered in the region, the main harness and engine room harness will be replaced free of charge in the vehicle. Owners should get notification letters in the mail on July 26.
